What year did the president and vice president start running together on a ticket?
Q. From what I recall, the winner of the presidential election became president and the loser became vice president. What year did this change to where the president and vice president run together on one ticket? I'd assume that having someone from one party as president and another party as vice was problematic at times. Any further history on this subject would be appreciated.

How is Vice President Cheney not part of the executive branch of the American government?
Q. Maybe I missed the civics lesson regarding characteristics of the vice presidency. To the best of my knowledge, the Vice President is a member of the government's executive branch, and the VP's role of president of the senate, was designed as an executive check upon the senate's powers. With this in mind, the VP would be a full-fledged member of the executive branch. I do not understand how Vice President Cheney can deny membership within the executive branch.

A. Well, what IS interesting is that he doesn't receive a paycheck as "Vice President", but as "President of the Senate" !! SOooo I can smile and laugh at his twisted logic. What screws up his "theory" is when he claimed "Executive Privilege" to prevent Scooter and others in his office from testifying. Not TOO much different from President Clinton claiming he couldn't be engaged in a lawsuit because he was Commander in Chief and therefore fell under the "Soldiers & Sailors Relief Act". He dropped that claim when he was advised that under UCMJ he would then be open to charges of Adultry and Sodomy.

A. I assume your talking about making 'three finger' chords. I learned to use my little finger to hold down the high (littlest) E-string when making G Major. This leaves your index finger free to 'be ready' for the C Major chord.

Q. I really think that if Hillary wins the primary election, she should choose Evan Bayh from Indiana to run as her Vice President. He is a lot more conservative. A. come up with catchy slogans and make posters, a i remember in 5th grade and people did that and all of them made printable stickers with "vote for whoever" and gave those out and just fun stuff. people have passed out candy. practice your speech before you say it. or you can make up a really funny skit or somethig. i remember people who did that. and people just remember other people a lot more if you were outgoing and fun, had a catchy slogan, or whatever. good luck! :)

A. I would mount it on the corner. If its in the middle, then you will be hindered in your operations on what ever you want to do, as its always in the way. In the end, you will have the space of the table for long pieces... Now, if its an "old" huge vice like mine, I have it on the end. Then, my 8 foot of table space is free for my projects. I have mounted a light over the vice, so that I can see the "piece" that I am currently working on. Even if its an old "wood vice", its generally still either mounted on the end of the table, or the corner. A. The EVP of the parent company should be more senior than a subsidiary President. The subsidiary President can also have a senior position in the parent company. This depends if there is a need in the parent company for such a position and in accordance to the qualifications and expertise of the subsidiary President. Example is the President of a software development subsidiary can be VP for Technology of the parent company.
