Work ethic is a set of values based on hard work and diligence. It is also a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character. An example would be the Protestant work ethic. A work ethic may include being reliable, having initiative, or maintaining social skills. Workers exhibiting a good work ethic in theory (and ideally in practice) should be selected for better positions, more responsibility and ultimately promotion. Workers who fail to exhibit a good work ethic may be regarded as failing to provide fair value for the wage the employer is paying them and should not be promoted or placed in positions of greater responsibility. The idea of a meritocracy is based somewhat on the work ethic, in that under a meritocracy, workers who possess a good work ethic (work hard and play by the rules) are to be rewarded and move ahead, and workers who do not have a good work ethic are to be punished, or not be rewarded. Q. Like John Cena, or Sheamus, many say they have strong work ethics, that is the reason they have held the championship, but exactly what makes their work ethic better than the other WWE Superstars, what is it specifically that they work on, that makes them more deserving than the likes of guys like, Jack Swagger, MVP, Evan Bourne, Chris Jericho, and many others in WWE. Thanks for answering. Asked by All Hail King Link!!! - Sun Dec 20 01:48:03 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. It means someone who, regardless of where their match may take place or in front of how many people, the wrestler shows up in top form and does their very best to put on the best possible show. I can give you a good example. I live in Vancouver, B.C., which is in Canada. WWE makes it here about once every two or three years, and when they do, it's more often than not for a house show, meaning no television audience, no dazzling pyrotechnics and no major stadium to showcase themselves in. In fact, when RAW and ECW came here for the same show, they booked the Agrodome, which is a very small, very old arena that can charitably be described as little more than a barn (They could have chosen GM Place, just down the street, which seats 18 000). I think by giving the child a task and making them complete it.. no matter how long it takes is a start. If they get allowence make them pay for a lunch out when the family goes out.. or a movie. I have learned that a kid wont order something so expensive if they are paying for it. It makes them realize how much things cost. Q. I need to become a better worker, get more motivated, because my teachers all say I am ambitious, but I need a better work ethic to achieve my lofty dreams. You must understand your responsibility and the impact of your work to the company if you didn't fulfill your responsibility. Responsibility will make you feel that you are an important person and give you a sense of accomplishment. It will also give you motivation in your work. Team work. Learn to work in a team is also very important. In a big organisation, you cannot do everything by yourself. Co-operation in a team are very critical for the success of a company.
