GNU Free Documentation License What is the best profession in Law that an Economics graduate can pursue? Q. As we all know there is no "typical lawyer." There are many "professions" within the profession of law. I have a degree in Economics and I would like to know where my training in the discipline would be maximized. Would it be when i specialize in criminal law, family law, personal injury or defective product litigation, trust and estate law, business transactions and litigation, tax law, employment or labor law, environmental law, patent and trademark law, civil rights litigation, or in other specialized areas? Asked by akatsuki - Fri Oct 26 01:50:35 2007 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments A. trust and estate law, followed by tax law, Answered by DavidC - Fri Oct 26 01:56:19 2007 What law defines what is a hard or soft pull on your credit report? Q. As everyone knows there are hard and soft pulls on your credit report. Exactly what law defines what constitutes a pull as hard or soft? Is it a law, or just common practice for credit bureaus to determine what classifies each one? Asked by SaraGirlNY - Fri Aug 28 17:44:32 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The only time someone can do a hard pull is when you have actually applied for credit or asked for a increase in a existing credit card limit. Everything else is a soft pull. Answered by SPIFIMAN1 - Fri Aug 28 17:52:03 2009 How can they amend a recently made law if the majority of the voters passed it for a reason?
Q. I read that in Connecticut voters passed a law decriminalizing the use of marijuana, but they might amend law making it a criminal offense. Voters passed the law by a 65-35% margin and local officials are tyring to repeal it for some reason. I just would like to know how our government is supposed to work if they can just repeal any law that the voters pass? Asked by Itstartshere27 - Sun Dec 28 17:11:47 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Because the U.S. is a constitutional republic, not a direct democracy. Our elected representatives are the ones who are responsible for making the laws. Otherwise, segregation might still be legal in many states, because the vast majority of voters did want it until the feds came in and overrode them. I'm not saying I'm against decriminalization of drugs, just that what's popular isn't always what's right and allowing the voters to have absolute say in the law would result in mob rule. If you look at the writings of the Founding Fathers (in particular, the Federalist Papers) they considered democracy to be the worst form of government. Answered by Logic316 - Sun Dec 28 17:20:21 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Law" Law is an umbrella term for the written or understood rules that concern behaviors within and between societies and the appropriate consequences thereof.
